Semi Permanent Make-Up
SPMU stands for Semi Permanent Make Up which can also be known as Micropigmentaion, Cosmetic Tattooing and Permanent Make Up. It involves inserting small amount of hypoallergenic pigment into the upper layer of the skin. Unlike traditional tattoos the pigment will fade over time but can last 3 to 4 years however we would recommend a top up every 12 to 18 months to keep them looking defined and the colour looking fresh.

The procedure is ideal for anyone who wants to enhance their looks with long-lasting, cost-effective results and save themselves time daily due to the minimum, hassle free up keep. Pretty much just get up and go!

SPMU is achieved either by the use of a manual tool that has a collection of fine needles forming a blade, known as a microblade or with the use of a tattoo machine using a vibrating needle. Brows achieved using a tattoo machine are known as Ombre Brows or Powder Brows.

Great care is taken prior to any treatment to make sure that the area being treated is mapped out and measured correctly and that the client is happy with the shape and colour being used.
​
Each treatment takes between 2 to 3 hours to complete and you will be required to be patch / scratch tested 48hrs prior to treatment to ensure that there are no allergic reactions to the products being used.
​
Patch tests are usually carried out during your free consultation where will can also discuss the procedure further, rule out any contraindications and also answer any further questions you may have.
Clients will be required to be of at least 18 years of age to have this treatment.
I.D may be required and Re.Balanced retains the right to refuse service to anyone that appears to be underage and not able to show a valid form of I.D
Acceptable forms of I.D are; Driving License, Passport, EU Citizen Card

Brow Tints and Tidies
If you’re still feeling undecided on SPMU or you just don’t think its for you then I also offer Brow tints and tidies.

The same care is taken to add balance to your brows and add that extra bit of definition just by a simple wax and tidy with a pop of colour if you require that also. A sensitive wax is used that is specifically designed to be used on sensitive areas such as the face making it a quick and easy process.
